Stefan Heiniger:
CEO of Montanasport
Former CEO of PUMA Switzerland and Europe.
I had the pleasure to talk to Stefan Heiniger about courage and I am delighted to share his thoughts with you today.
As stated in his interview with Sandra Stella Triebel from Ladies Drive, Stefan has always achieved what he wanted to achieve thanks to his hard work and persistence. He already knew that he wanted to market a sports brand when he was 16 years old. He did this very successfully and in fact he is still doing it. In one of the media publications he was given the name: „Mister AESEIC of Switzerland“. As a non academic he was hired by PUMA as CEO of Switzerland at the age of 23 and later as head of Europe at the age of 27. Despite his success at PUMA, he decided to leave the organisation. His reason for this: He wanted to stay true to himself and for him it isn’t all about having money.
For him the key for success is not to loose sight of one’s goal and keep on moving forward. His motto for work and life is „comparing makes happy people unhappy“.
I can only take my hat off to Stefan Heiniger for his courage and for remaining faithful to his principals despite all the success. I would like to thank him for sharing his thoughts on courage with us on takethecourage.com.
